In September 2021, artists Tony Wade and Helen Thomas worked with families, schools and community groups from Holmfirth to create a parade celebrating the rich history of the town. Images representing farming, medieval hunting, Industrial revolution and the Bamforth Films (amongst others) were paraded through the town accompanied by industrial percussion courtesy of Banda Na Rua, and soundscapes by Charlie Wells which included floods and rural animal sounds. The parade culminated in an historical promenade performance at the Sands recreation ground, directed by Bev Adams, including the premiere performance of a new song for Holmfirth, written by Charlie Wells and performed by the Holme Valley Singers. This work was commissioned by Holmfirth Arts Festival.
