Commissioned by West Yorkshire Archive Service in conjunction with Next Generation, Edgelands Arts are working with women and girls from the Pakistani / Kashmiri community to record stories of their families' journeys to, and settlement in, Wakefield over the past 70 years.

 

Looking at archival materials and personal testimonies the project will culminate in an exhibition at the West Yorkshire History Centre and the making of a community co-created textile piece.
